This unit covers the reasoning behind certain teaching styles and various methodologies for engaging students. It puts particular focus on the \"Engage-Study-Activate\" methodology. I found this to be particularly helpful because sometimes the most difficult aspect of making a lesson plan is giving it a useful structure. If the order and structure of a class is haphazard, then the students can become confused and disinterested. I think the ESA model is a good solution to this problem.In this unit I learned how to put the pieces together to create a lesson plan. I learned that it is important to plan a class to be able to have a general idea of what the students are going to learn. It is good to have these plans so that you can record the improvement of the students, and to see where they are in terms of strength and weaknesses. Even though it is important to have a plan, it is of great importance to be able to be flexible and look at the needs of the entire class.
