The content of this unit focuses on the four aspects of present tense in the English language. I have learned a lot about the fact that the three tenses I was familiar with can actually be broken into a total of 12, including the present tense here. Similarly, I wasn't aware that many Asian languages tend to use a singular tense. As a native English speaker, this seems confusing and difficult for me, as I am greatly accustomed to forming my thoughts based on the tense I am explaining.This unit is a treasure of organization. The detailed outline of how to structure a lesson was extremely helpful. The reasons for and contents of the lesson plan definitely helped in placing the tasks in proper perspective. I also greatly appreciated and will use the monitor self chart and examples that were shown. This is a component that I believe is greatly overlooked and very crucial to the development and progress of the students as well as the teacher and the teacher's teaching.
