This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit shows different ways of evaluation of the students as well as some of the common external exams for them. There are three common ways to assess a student's English level: tutorials, evaluation by the students and tests. There are different stages in a course what gives you a possibility to choose the appropriate tests for students like placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic and practice tests. There's general external examination that you may need to prepare your students for like TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, Cambridge assessments and many others. In this unit, I was able to learn about Teaching special groups. I found that for me, the Engage, Study and activate stage were hard to remember and choose which ones to use when. Though I thought that looking at the class discipline and management was a great thing for me as I am someone who never knows what to do when A student is not behaving properly. I did not know that a mid-course evaluation was this important and that it was better to take the students one by one outside and talk individually to them than making the students take a quiz in class.
