Unit 14 focuses on the materiel that a teacher needs. The content for a lesson must include all the skills that a student needs to learn and improve. A teacher must provide all the materiel that he judges relevant for the topic of the lesson. The teacher should carefully choose a book course ( which is reassuring for the students in most case ) that covers as much as possible the needs of the students. While respecting and following the main structure / program of the book course, the teacher shouldn't rely too much on the book's content to avoid boredom and predictability; he should complete the book's content with more creative and suitable activities, and sometimes adapt the materiel in his own way. If the teacher knows very well the motivation and interests of his students, the created materials can be even more relevant and helpful. Using authentic materials can improve the confidence of the students, if it is chosen according to the level of the students.
