Visual examples of teaching methods are useful when learning how to teach others in any subject. This unit contains two videos of an instructor teaching English to a group of Thailand students. The first video had an instructor who was not explaining the point of the lesson, not actively engaging with the students, does not bother to learn their names, and so on. The second video had an instructor who was highly positive, engaging, spoke clearly and worked well with the students. Consequently, it was obvious from the two videos which teaching method was better and the higher possibly of student participation. I felt the first video was hard to watch because of how negative and uninspiring the instructor was. However the instructor in the second video gave a multitude of examples and was a positive individual. In the end, the role of an instructor is important to teaching others in a positive and engaging way to further their own interest in the English language.
