This lesson was centered around the various teaching methods that can be applied in the classroom as well as the intricacy of the ESA method. The unit extensively covered this teaching method, but also wrapped up with a section on correcting students. From this section I was introduced to the different teaching methods in classrooms and something that was a big takeaway from this section was all the things I learned about the ESA method, specifically the many examples of how to execute the various phases of this teaching style. I was very pleased to learn some of the specific functions of each stage of ESA because I think it is important to know what your students should be gaining from each lesson. I also learned a lot in the way of correcting students. It was important to discover that while not only are there specific techniques and ways to correct your students, but also that there is a difference between mistakes and errors and it is important to recognize this.
