My overview of the content in complete honesty has mainly and only educated me in knowing the fundamentals of the different tenses and the reasons behind foreign students finding the tenses difficult. As of now I am aware of the common errors and mistakes made by students as well as some of the reasons behind them. This is vital to me as a tefl teacher as this is a great way for me be able to identify mistakes and errors in different areas of the students work in relation to the various tenses but most importantly, I now know the common mistakes and reasons behind them. This will surely assist me in educating students further in our 11 different tenses. As I have mentioned in the beginning of my unit reflection. I have known these tenses for all of my life therefore it is a habit and simply an act of nature for me to use them corectly when speaking. Thus I feel that the principles behind them have truly educated me as I now know what all of them have been based upon.
