There are many techniques and strategies involved in teaching a given subject. This lesson reviewed the various types traditional teaching practices from Grammar Translation to the PPP method. Delving further into some different strategies we reviewed the ESA method and the different styles within this strategy. You have the \" straight arrow \" and \" boomerang \" forms which have different benefits and drawbacks. The \"boomerang method, \" for example, allows the teaching the flexibility of knowing what to the students need before teaching the days lesson plan. Correction is also a very important topic covered in this unit. Of particular interest to me was the idea of sometimes allowing the students to correct themselves which is a further reinforcer of recently introduced material.
