I know many of my friends have taken IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC, but I had no idea what the discrepancies were. It now makes sense that there scores were so much lower for TOEIC because its for business/work environment. As opposed to TOEFL, which my friends seemed to do well in because its aimed towards student looks to attend english-speaking universities. TOEIC would be helpful for those looking to work abroad and TOEFL is helpful for those looking to study abroad. I would be interested in taking a sample TOEIC test, as it is said to be difficult for native speakers as well. In addition, the unit discussed the various way to assess your students. I found the tutorial method to be interesting. Taking ten minutes to review common mistakes and problems. However, this requires some mastery of the language in order to understand in the first place. I prefer to do constant quizzes. I had a review quiz for every class to go over vocabulary and grammar from the previous lesson.
