This unit has been helpful in providing me with knowledge on how to manage and organise a class successfully. It has shown me how to use eye contact, tone of voice and gesturing to deliver a successful lesson.
It has also elaborated on the grouping of students during different activities. That you can group them as a whole class, as individual students, as pairs and as bigger groups.
The unit has also shown various ways of arranging a classroom. Depending on students' age, the physical space available and materials in terms of desks and chairs, you can arrange the class in row orders, using horseshoe or individual desks.
The unit has also given me techniques on how to write on board, how to give individual attention, how to successfully give instructions, how to build rapport in class and how to maintain discipline.
In conclusion, the unit has given me an insight on how i should organise a class, the individual students in the class and what takes place within the class.
