This unit discusses how to conduct appropriate and effective skills for managing a classroom. It discusses of things such as the appropriate gestures, eye contact, voice, and calling students names. Other things that are discussed are types of effective managing students by organizing the classroom, how to give instructions, and establishing a rapport but maintaining a disciplined environment. There is a balance that must be maintained in, which it is important to discipline the students but also be kind given certain situations. It is a teachers duty to ensure a optimal environment for the students learning of a foreign language.
There is not much from this section that has not really stood out to me because I have experienced this type management from my teachers in school. I do like using a horseshoe type of set-up because it allows every study to be engaged in the lesson. Also it does allow everyone to participate because there is no way to hide behind another student.
