In this unit, the difference in roles between teacher and student were covered. I learnt a lot about the difference roles that teachers can play, for example policeman or facilitator.
The different types if students that you may end up teaching was also touched upon. In this section, I found out that there is no one type of business english student, all are taking the course or lessons for specific reason that may reflect their motivation in the class. Also whether these students are groups or one-to-one is also important in structuring and planning the lesson. The problems, advantages and disadvantages were also covered here as well as solutions to these issues.
Following on was the different skills that stuidents need to work on: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Furthermore, English language teaching techniques and lesson layout was touched upon. As I had already taken the TEFL course prior to this, I already knew this information but found it useful as a recap.
