Unit 4
Authentic materials: they have been produced for a real purpose and not for the classroom.
Non authentic materials: they have been produced either by an educational company or individuals teachers.
Lesson plan: it is a written document. it tells us what should happen throughout the lesson in a series of stages. The components are: date, time, level, room, expected number of students, context of the lesson, objectives, anticipated problems for the teacher and the students, procedures, and additional information.
Classroom management:
-the teacher can be rigid (students speak only to respond the teacher's questions)
-Little to no teacher control
-controlled active (student respond and listen when appropriate)
*There are also a number of tools at the teacher's disposal that play their part, such as:
voice, gesture, eye contact, grouping students, teacher's position, monitoring, giving feedback and clear instructions that will help organize better the class itself.
