Unit 5, Managing classes conveyed different strategies that teachers can use to teach, manage a classroom and maintain discipline. This unit helped me learn different theories and strategies that will help me maintain discipline in the classroom and keep my students intrigued in learning a foreign language. For example, I learned that it is important for teachers to conduct themselves in a positive and lively way so that the students can be inspired and will help boost their confidence. Without a doubt, this unit has a lot of useful information that can help me in the future. In addition, I learned that it is important to always make the correct gestures and tone of voice so that my students are able to understand the instructions and explanations given to them. Also, grouping the students and arrangements in the classroom is very important because the students will be comfortable to interact with their classmates and share ideas or past experiences depending on activities.
