This unit helps us understand the motivation of Teachers and Learners. It gives us deeper insight into what helps Teacher and Learners be at their best for every lesson. We learn the various Roles (e.g. Manager; Facilitator; Tutor: Participant; Organiser etc.) that a Teacher can play in any class and the importance of ensuring that each role is balanced in its execution so that the Learners benefit. We understand the different types of Learners (Adult and Young Learners) and what factors (Motivation; Life Experiences; Learning Experiences; Nervousness; Behavioural Problems etc.) can affect their Learning Experiences. We also learn about the various Levels (Beginner; Elementary; Pre Intermediary; Intermediary; Upper Intermediary and Advanced) and the Common European Framework. We finish with a good understanding of the reasons a Learner would choose to learn (Future Prospects; Travel; Live/ Work in an English Speaking Country; Communicate with others; Achieve Exam Success etc.)
