Unit 17 deals with the teaching tools all teachers must know about, consider to use, and be prepared to use in a EFL classroom, ranging from the classic, essential board to more complex technological resources. In this unit, we get to understand the advantages and disadvantages of most pieces of equipment in order to learn how to use them effectively. On top of that, we are also provided with useful links and resources to have a vast access to different sites that will definitely be useful at any point of our teaching. Something I found curious though is the mentioning of cassettes as a tool for teaching, which I remember I used years ago, but not anymore today. Probably, I lack knowledge of teaching scenarios (or countries) where they are still in use because of lacking access to more edge-cutting technologies. So, it would be really interesting (and fun) to come across a teaching setting where I would have to use a cassette again. It would bring me back to my adolescent days.
