Unit 6 covered the business etiquette of a teacher teaching in other countries. Although I do not plan to pursue that avenue, I do plan on teaching online and feel as though the same etiquette applies. Never discuss your political views. Always have a fond understanding of the cultures of the county one may be living/teaching in, or even teaching remotely online. Understand the formal greetings of those countries (and teach them the same of a teachers home country - sharing :-) ). There are many, many questions one needs to familiarize themselves with when applying to teach in a foreign country. The resume...... oh yes, that resume :-) the resume should include the important information for a potential employer to contact you as well as the qualifications one holds in order to obtain the job they are applying for. Cover letters are equally important. AS a teacher goes forward in their career, joining an organization geared towards their career can be very beneficial.
