This unit basically talked about managing classes. Managing classes is very vital if any effective learning is to take place. Secondly the teachers interaction with the students, when to speak and when not, sitting arrangements and disciplinary issues are all covered in this chapter which are all vital.The lesson as widen my horizon with regard to the sitting arrangement because I am much more used to the orderly rows which off course is the traditional way of sitting arrangement but in this lesson I have learned about other forms of sitting arrangements such as circles and horseshoes, separate tables etc. These sitting arrangements are very vital.
I have also learned about the eye contact, gestures and also using the voice. These are all important in having a good and peaceful learning environment. In addition I have also learned about how to handle student problem behavior or discipline as stated earlier on, which is very important in a teacher achieving his leaning objectives.
