Conditions and reported speech are challenging and it is important to take it slow. I learned a lot about the various ways to say things that may have happened, might happen and what will happen. I didn't know there were 5 conditionals. I also learned that reported speech changes highly depend on when the report was originally heard and who they are referring to. The pronouns and the verb tenses need to change and in order to teach this, students will need a solid understanding on the tenses. I've learned about different lesson activities that could help students understand these concepts in class with time and practice. Perhaps using a visual will help language learners understand the tenses they need to use in order to improve. I also feel these points will require a lot of practice and correction until students can confidently use this grammar pointer regularly. I'd like to look deeper into ways to instruct this grammar point in the future as I found it difficult to understand.
