In this unit i learned about the future tenses. The most common ones are the future simple, the future continuous, the future perfect, the future perfect continuous, the present simple, the present continuous and Be going to+infinitive. The future simple is used for future facts, predictions (based on no present evidence), promises, threats, speculations and spontaneous decisions. Future continuous is mostly used for actions in progress at a specific time in the future. Future perfect is used for actions that will be completed by a certain time in the future. Future perfect continuous is used to show how long something will have continued by a certain time. Be going to+infinitive is used for intentions, predictions that are based on present evidence, and plans made before speaking. Present simple is used to suggest a more impersonal tone and a more formal situation and it is also used for timetables. Present continuous is used plans without a time frame and definite arrangements.
