This unit was very helpful to understand which teaching aids are most effective today. Technology has shifted quite a bit since we have begun teaching English and different equipment is used today. Having a clean and clear white board that isn't messy is very helpful because it can create clutter and confusion for the students. Writing too much on the board can also throw students off of the lesson. Having a student volunteer to help write is a good hands-on approach for the students. Presenting videos of news channels can be a great way for students to watch and listen to real-life scenarios and conversation. Some materials are pretty out-dated. The resources can vary depending on what the school or institute provides and how much funding they may have. The level of the students may also make a difference of what teaching aids you want to utilize. Getting the students engaged and motivated is very important.
