In this unit we had videos of two lessons which focused on the same auxiliary verbs can and can't and these where taught in different ways. The first lesson depicted a rigid type of lesson which is teacher centred. The teacher in the first lesson was stern, strict and expected students to know what he was talking about. The student on the other hand where confused and had difficulties in grasping the concept. This was depicted by their facial expressions and failure to answer the teachers questions. In the second lesson the teacher was more vibrant and the lesson was more interactive and interesting. The lesson was student centred because there was a lot of student participation. I learnt that the success or failure mainly depends on the teachers attitude comparing the teacher's attitude in the first lesson vis-Ã -vis in the second lesson. Also l learnt that it is important to learn the students name's to establish good rapport in the classroom and to encourage students participation.
