This unit allows us to review the future tenses in various ways. Instructing the Future tense is not as easy as it seems, since it is divided into seven different types of tenses to describe the future. The most common we know is to use the word will to describe the future, nevertheless, the future tense can be divided into future simple, future continuous, future perfect, future perfect continuous, using be going plus an infinitive, the present simple, and the present continuous. We can ask questions or play games related to the future during the instruction of each type of future tense. We may also ask questions or perform activities to motivate each of the students to describe their goals or wish they would like to reach in their future. We could ask the students to predict their career, dreams, jobs and even their future relationship or spouse using the future tense. We can ask the class to arrange a date in the near or far future in order to fill in the sentences in a future diary.
