This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The last question was the hardest. I hope I got it right. I assumed I have the correct answer because filled up is separable. The sentence could be changed to, \"I filled my gas tank up this morning.\" The others would sound wrong if the Phrasal Verb was separated in two parts on either side of the object. As in, She got the bus at the wrong stop off, or He came with an interesting idea up. Although the second sentence could be made correct by adding commas. \"He came, with an interesting idea, up. Someone from a lower level goes upstairs to bring an idea. In this case the idea did not originate with him. It would probably be better to say, He came up stairs with an interesting idea. I learned, from having to take a test about grammar, how my students must feel. Actually they must feel worse as they have to pass similar tests and they are not native speakers. But This chapter actually helped me see patterns and gave good ideas and inspiration for teaching this difficult topic. Thank you.
