Unit 6 goes through the 4 forms of the past tense: past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. It provides several examples, common student errors, and sample teaching activities for each, allowing me to truly learn them. Since I have a better idea and definition of the Past Tense verbiage, I am able to teach it properly in a classroom setting now. It was a great way to review the old subject matter and be able to brush up on what I learned along time ago.The unit gives information on five different ways that we read and listen. From reading to understand detail, to reading for specific information, to using headlines to predict , skimming for the general ideas or deducing information. The unit also reminds use to use information a send resources that are oh interst to the learners, that allows the use of different skills, that has realistic comprehension tasks and that has a natural flow from the study to engage to the activate stage.
