This was the second installation in the Present/Past/Future tense overviews. Although tense formations are not my favorite thing to study, it is necessary for native speakers because this was taught to us a long time ago and needs to be reviewed to show students HOW and WHY we use different ways to portray the past. Personally, the most valuable part of the lesson were the Sample Teaching Ideas, which I always write down in my notebook for future class ideas.Unit 19 discussed teaching different groups such as children, one on one, and business English. The material was very useful as it covered each group/technique in depth. Although I signed up for the 50 hour business English course, after reading Unit 19, I am definitely leaning toward changing to the teaching young learners course/certification. Teaching young beginners sounds like it would not only be more fun, but also more rewarding on a personal level.
