Whew! This unit was brutal. The review of the present tense was worthwhile, if only to show me how easily I was confused by it. The present simple is simple enough, but the present continuous, present perfect and present perfect continuous must be the topic of a Dr. Seuss story. It helped some when I saw continuous and progressive as the same. I noticed that the activate exercises are repetitive and made me wonder if there are any fun ways to learn verbs.This unit concentrates on distinguishing between the different types of conditional forms and when to use each. It's helpful when the text specifies exactly which words to use with which form. It also helps to see these conditional forms used in sentences in the examples below. The point about them changing when talking about speech is a goo added tidbit of information that often gets misconstrued during translation, and I'm glad the table was included here.
