This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
This unit was an overview of the many different types of tests that students strive towards making good marks in. It is important to understand the format, difficulty level, and areas of testing (for example...reading, writing, speaking, etc.) that will be on the test, so that lesson plans and practice tests alike will be better suited for the students to have more familiarity with the material.
In this unit, I learned a brief amount about the most popular tests administered throughout the world, as well as the different types of tests taken in the classroom.Unit ten presents two videos of a lesson by the same teacher. The first video depicts a class whereby the teacher lacks charisma, the students are confused about the lesson content, lack of participation of the students and is completely teacher centered. The teachers talk time is way too much.Contrarily, the second video presents the same lesson but the teacher is charismatic and funny. The class is more lively and interesting and the students fully participate in the lesson. The second class is more student centered with the use of a straight arrow ESA lesson plan.
