I found this lesson is extremely helpful especially for a new teacher. In this lesson I learned how to arrange the class seats & more importantly, how to maintain the class & what to do when something unpredictable happened. Being a teacher tend to talk too much and forget that students talking time is also very important in their ESL learning process. I will work on that part more and let my students have more freedom to speak up for themselves.Working within a school division for years I have seen most of these methods used. The older teachers seem to be stuck in old methods where as the new young teachers have learned to engage the students. The also realize that not every student learns and retains information in the same way. Using a mix of methods some students where more visual while others needed to be active with what they were learning they are able to reach more of the class.
