English is strange, in that there technically isn't really a future tense. Instead, the language has morphed other words and tenses to create a kind of future tense. Words like \"will, shall, going to\" have been giving second meanings with implications about the future. This unit gives an exhaustive review of the various future tenses and their usages. Thinking about my own speaking, I believe that I mostly use the 'going to' future tense. It's the most natural for my way of speaking. But I see that may be because many of the other future tenses have rather narrow usages.This unit goes through the ways teachers formally evaluate student?s language level, ability and progress. Teachers can evaluate this in the classroom but tests are the most likely method used. The main four tests are placement tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests and progress tests. There are a few different exams available for different levels of language depending on the needs of the student. As certain exams are needed for different countries, e.g. TOEFL for American universities or the ESOL for England etc, it is very important to know what the students aims are.
