I appreciate the variety of suggestions given for the engage, study, and activate sections. It's also a good reminder to allow the student to self-correct, or for a classmate to be given time to be able to correct a fellow student rather than the teacher jumping in to correct a student and taking away from the student's learning to self-correct and also potentially causing the student to feel needlessly frustrated by being corrected too often by the teacher.I learned so many new things in this lesson. I was shocked by the different pronunciations that words have, even though they have the same letters in them. I find it funny how beard and heard and pronounced differently. This is something that students will have to master and remember. This can be confusing at first, but through training and practice, students can learn the differences. I think it is important that the teacher teaches this in an a simple way.
