Teaching a New Language has been an interesting unit to learn. I do not think there is a strict path to follow when introducing vocabulary and language functions to new students. Of course there should be set in rules and guidelines to help follow a path that best suits the student but I think its important to use your own experiences to help with lessons as well. Having clear explanations and patience seems key to try and teaching these methods.A lesson plan should maintain the same structure and be kept simple, flexible and open to adaption. In a lesson plan should be included: learner objectives, personal aims, language points, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedures, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of students, date/time and observer?s name. After each lesson a teacher should do a self-evaluation to have a clear idea of the areas which need to be improved.
