This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit 2 offered an in depth look at the parts of speech of the English language. The unit broke down each part and gave clear examples of each, such as articles both definite and indefinite, pronouns from possessive, reflexive, personal, and relative. Aside from examples and definitions of each part of speech, we were given a number of word charts containing lists of examples such as possessive pronouns versus possessive adjectives, and transitive versus intransitive verbs. This unit covered the simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous forms of past tense verbs. Similar to the unit over present tense verbs, the unit gave the basic structure, usages, common mistakes made by students regarding these verbs as well as activities that might make learning these verbs engaging. I thought this unit was particularly short and to the point, which surprised me because I though a unit on grammar would be more time consuming than this unit was.
