Unit 9 discussed the importance of writing lesson plans and how to write them. It stated that it is debated whether or not lesson plans are necessary. I agree with TEFL's viewpoint that they are extremely beneficial, especially to new teachers. This unit stated that there is no set way that a lesson plan needs to be written, but it gives examples of necessary things to include on your lesson plan to make them the most helpful for the classes. It gave an example of a lesson plan and blank lesson planning sheets, and discussed issues that may arise when planning multiple lessons in a row.I learned that with past simple, we are simply talking about an action in the past that we did in a definite time in the past. Past continuous is something that was happening at a definite time in the past. Past perfect and past perfect continuous are a little more intricate. Past perfect is where something had happened before other actions happened there where as past perfect continuous are actions that happened until the present action and we don't know whether or not that action is still happening. One was to always spot past perfect continuous is to look for two auxiliary verbs.
