Structuring two lesson plans using the sample reading texts and comprehension exercises was a challenging but exciting exercise. With the sample lesson plan and video material from Unit 10, as well as the numerous ideas for interesting activities for the Engage, Study, and Activate phases given in Unit 3, I had everything I needed (except experience) to create two lessons that I could hope would hold the interest of the class and get across the comprehension, vocabulary and grammar concepts asked for in Unit 11. My personal aims were: \"To keep the lesson interesting and challenging while still staying within the students' abilities.\" and \"To move smoothly from one phase to another without confusing the students.\" I'm proud of my two lesson plans although I am well aware I still have much to learn. My \"imaginary\" class often looks puzzled and sometimes even smiles at their eager but bumbling teacher. Both of my lesson plans were \"Patchwork\" in more ways than one, but I'm learning! Thank you.
