Unit 10 contrasted a poorly executed class with an effectively managed one.
In the first video, the teacher showed very little interest in engaging his students to participate in class. In fact, he seemed very detached and annoyed as if he didn't like what he was doing. He spoke condescendingly to them and repeated that the subject matter is very easy and that everyone should know it already. Placing myself in the shoes of the students, I would easily lose the interest in understanding the lesson with the way I was being treated.
On the other hand, the second video was significantly better than the first one. Here, the teacher respected the students and their pace of learning. He gave clear and simple explanation of the subject matter. He displayed a pleasant and inviting attitude all throughout the lesson that made the students feel relaxed and comfortable. In turn, the students showed great interest in the lesson, were actively participating with the activities and performed well in the exercises.
