The content of this unit begins with the different roles of the teacher to a group or individual learner, it also goes onto the differing roles and motivations of learners encountered in the Business English environment and differing levels, advantages and disadvantages of teaching adults. The advantages and disadvantages of one to one and group teaching are also explored. A lot of the higlighted points have been encountered in previous work experience and helps further personal development in dealing with the varying aspects encountered in the teaching environment. The methods in dealing with varying levels in the same group will immediately translate to my current teaching environment as I encounter this regularly in my in house corporate training. Varying methods of teaching are explored that I am familiar with as well as the exploration of the Theory of Multiple intelligences which will greatly enhance my ability to engage with differing levels of students and motivations, abilities and engagement.
