This unit discussed the strategies and importance of classroom management. It covered everything from teacher body language, to seating arrangements, and even to handling discipline problems. What I learned is that it is important for the teacher to be both an authority figure and an approachable resource. The seating arrangements also play a key role, in terms of both the formation of desks to which student is sitting next to whom. The overall goal is to make the classroom a comfortable, yet productive, environment in which to learn.I think that the biggest challenge I will face in my future classes would be teaching very young students. I have experience teaching young students, but not in a language different from their native language. The one thing I love about teaching beginner students is that the progress that is made from the beginning to the end is more evident. I love teaching adults. I had the privilege of teaching an adult English class in Korea. It was challenging because adults who have more experience with the language ask more difficult questions.
