This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
I have learnt about tense from this unit and in which there are present simple, present progressive, present perfect, and present perfect continuous along with 3 types of form which are affirmative, negative, question. Also typical usage of the present perfect are completed actions at a general experience, something that began in the past and continues at the time of speaking and past actions with present results. And for the usages of the present continuous are actions in progress at the time of speaking, temporary action around the time of speaking, to describe a developing situation. The unit was about verb tenses. I found the names of the tenses harder to remember than the information on the varying tenses. I think this section would be easier to show and practice verbally but harder to explain and discuss especially with non-English speakers. Affirmative vs. third person singular is not difficult but on paper it's confusing. I really like some of the activities they suggest and I think a workbook or worksheet could help students learn the terminology. Guess my profession sounds like a good activity for basic English speakers that I would like to try in my classes.
