This unit describes about advantages and disadvantages of using course books and lesson materials. I have learned which ways are the best ways to use course books and lesson materials and how we will adapt these course books based on students? needs. In this unit, I have realized four ways for using course books: Omit, Replace, Supplement and adapt. These ways help me a lot in teaching using with course books and lesson materials. So, this unit is also a helpful one.This was an intriguing chapter that discussed some more nuanced aspects of English. As with most nuanced parts of English, these are issues that I can easily recognize how to use properly but am often unaware of them when I use them. I appreciated the chart of direct speech to reported speech. As per usual the frequent combinations of past, present, continuous, and perfect were a bit confusing, so I had to read through extra thoroughly. All in all, another solid unit.
