This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
The overview of the content of this unit was to show how difficult it is to teach English and to give examples of what will be covered in the class material. It mostly dealt with parts of speech. I believe this was to refresh the viewer on basic English structure. The second main point of this unit was to show that English speakers know the basics of grammar and use it everyday. It was just pointing out what we already know. It also went over some of the more tricky parts of speech and explained how to understand their functionality in English. It also went into depth on how Nouns, Adjectives, Adverbs, Prepositions, and so on are broken down into various subcategories. I feel that through this unit I learned how to summarize various parts of speech into easily understood language that is not confusing to the learner. I also got a refresher on various parts of speech. I feel that further study needs to be done, so that I can better create activities to help learners understand the parts of speech better.
