English grammar is quite complex even for native English speakers. For native speakers in fact, deep knowledge of grammar may be unnecessary. However it seems leaners of other languages are often interested in obtaining a deep understanding about parts of speech. Many students develop incorrect habits over time from lack of exposure to native speakers and opportunity to use language in the \"real world\", so this unit is vital to provide a foundation for my students.Unit 19 was particularly important for me as a teacher because I will be teaching a range of students from Business to children. I thought that the section about the needs analysis for business English students was very informative. It seems obvious, but finding out what the students want to specifically cover as a group is very important. I also thought that the list of 1 on 1 activities was very helpful and had some ideas that I wouldn't have normally come up with.
