i really enjoyed reading through this chapter. I love the fact that there is an example of the Lesson plan: Consolidation of animal vocab from previous lesson to bring out new grammar. this chapter helps me to understand what to what information to include to help students learn. What i find difficult in the beggining is indentifying the answers for different phases of the lesson in the unit test (engage, study, and activate). I needed to go back to unit 7 to recap on the material to help me understand and differentiate the answers. Let's just hope i absorbed the material correctly.This unit focused on textbooks, their disadvantages and advantages, and the benefits of alternative materials such as authentic materials or created materials. What I found particularly interesting in this lesson was that one of the disadvantages of using a textbook is that they are designed for broad use and are not tailored to specific nationalities and cannot go in depth into difficulties a certain nationality may encounter with the language, thus teachers should opt for created materials, authentic materials, or should adapt the lesson plan to fit the cultural needs of students.
