I felt increased need for source materials. I am doing more research in the internet by now and making up my mind which material I'd prefer to use in my teaching. Task 7 made me research a lot and increased the desire in me to get book entitled 'The five minutes activity' to make the class lively by varying different short activities. This lesson made me think of which type of students I want to teach after this course. I feel the desire to start my teaching carreer more and more.This unit covers coursebooks and lesson materials (authentic and created) for teaching ESL. Sample materials are shown and how they can be applied in the classroom. The advantages and disadvantages of coursebooks are listed, as well as what a teacher should consider when purchasing/choosing coursebooks for teaching. I found the list at the end of the unit very helpful for deciding what coursebooks to use and also the suggestions on supplementing and adapting materials for ESL use.
