I learnt that diagnosing issue with new learners of English can be challenging at times especially for new teachers. While experience teachers can draw on their years of experience to adapt and adjust to certain situations in the learning environment, new learners of English sometimes are reluctant to the challenges they may encounter while learning English and thus may resist. I have also learnt that teachers have to find creative ways to engage the students and to get them motivated for the beginning of the English language course. This can be done using various strategies to ensure participation as much as possible for all the new learners. Teaching is and art that if not mastered in a reasonable short time can be challenging for new teachers as well as new learners especially learners of new language(s). However, teachers who show great flexibility and adaptability usually make an impact if not immediately on new learners once they are engaged and are motivated and interested to learn the new language.
