This unit dealt with various issues that could arise and a few ways to prevent and deal with them. The lessons make teachers seem very personal and friendly. I've only ever experienced stoic mechanical teachers apart from a few. I told one of my old teachers I was going to be teaching English as a foreign or second language and he told me to, \"Teach the students, not the subject\". The nice thing about teaching English abroad is that every interaction that I have with the students is furthering their knowledge and experience with it. Even though I need to choose to utilize the current lessons vocabulary, I can discuss and interact instead of mechanically turning a powerpoint presentation on and sitting down for everyone to copy. I have ten books on various topics that I can utilize in my teaching and will read as I take the rest of my courses at ITTT such as public speaking, grammar, writing, game design, business communication, argumentative rhetoric, and immersive storytelling and writing techniques.
