This unit focused on different tools and equipment used in ESL classrooms. For all forms of technology and resources used in the classroom, it is important to be trained on the equipment. It is also vital to be properly prepared for your lessons. Having to set up or figure out how to use equipment during a lesson is not only a waste of valuable time, but it makes the teacher look bad. Proper preparation on all forms of media and electronic devices will make the class run smoothly. It is important to use what you have available to you, especially as classroom technology becomes more advanced. Do what will best serve your students, but do not rely on the technology. You still must know what you are doing and have a back up plan if something goes wrong. This unit also gave many many examples of resources for English learners. In my classroom, I would come to class early if possible to do a quick run through of my lesson and make sure everything is working properly before the students enter the classroom.
