Growing up through the 90's and 2000's for my schooling years, I have been able to see the change through the education system from overhead projectors, to interactive whiteboards, and the positive use that cellphones and other personal electronic devices can have the students, in whatever subject they are studying. For example, in my high school chemistry class we would have questions projected on the screen and we could vote on the correct answer through our phones and we would see the percentage bar increase based of what answers students were submitting. It created friendly competition to push yourself to choose the correct answer, but the answers where also anonymous so it was less fearful to become involved. This unit showed the effectiveness of the different tools used for teaching in the classroom, and some of there downfalls as well, which I believe is important to remember that no tool is going to be 100% effective in any given situation, and to not become discouraged and have alternate plans as well.
