This is how our TEFL graduates feel they have gained from their course, and how they plan to put into action what they learned:
Unit nineteen focuses on the different types of student groups that teachers of English are likely to encounter. This unit was overall very helpful as I've only studied the differences of teaching young learners and adult learners. However, this unit went into great detail to explain each group, give reasons why they may be learning English, and helpful ways of which teachers can successful teach these different learners. The various categories of learners in this unit were beginners (both young and adult), individual learners, children, business people, and finally classrooms that may be monolingual or multilingual. Overall, this unit explained a lot about the tips and tricks to teach each group, because the lesson plans teachers must prepare will be highly dictated by the students who will be participating in them. Therefore, this unit also showed a way in which the connection between teachers and students is highly important and vital to realize as both depend on each other and the situations they're placed in.
