This unit gave a refresher course on the materials and resources that will aid us in our teaching endeavors. First we went over the difference between authentic and non authentic materials, and the disadvantages of using authentic materials. That was followed by a process of designing non authentic materials. This section went into much more detail of its production than the previous course which I really appreciate. Then we got another refresher on lesson planning, which in my opinion is the most important tool in a teacher's arsenal. I always welcome refreshers on lesson planning. Then using the internet and resource books, and things to look out for, that could jeopardize your teaching, such as a student being to access your lessons and get all the answers. Finally we end with a material webliography. I think my biggest take away on the chapter is from the designing non authentic section. \"Don't ask your students if they understand.\" I'm totally guilty of saying I understand the instructions when in fact I do not.
